Johannes Thürauf (born 1992) has been a research assistant and doctoral student at the Chair of Wirtschaftsmathematik at the Friedrich-Alexander University Erlangen-Nürnberg (FAU) and the Energy Campus Nürnberg (EnCN) since 2017. He studied at the Friedrich-Alexander University and holds a bachelor's degree in mathematics with minor subject economics and a master's degree in mathematics concentrating on modeling, simulation, and optimization. His research interests focus on robust optimization, especially with applications in the energy sector. In addition, he works on nonlinear, algorithmic and combinatorial optimization.
