Hydrogen Storage Materials
Liquid organic hydrogen carriers (LOHC) are a safe and simple method of storing energy in the form of hydrogen over a long period of time. Hydrogen is bound to the storage molecule by a chemical reaction and can be stored and transported without applying high pressure and at ambient temperature. On-demand release takes place via catalysed
dehydrogenation reaction. The technology can be used cost-effectively for large storage volumes. A hydrogen storage model was built for demonstration purposes.
